SPORTS: Chelsea FC - the next manager

So far, Chelsea FC has had four managers over a two year period. Now its coming up on five managers over two years because the current manager is only on te job temporary basis. Who will be Chelsea's new manager next season???? Well a coule prospects have been linked. Avaram Grant could make a return to the club however how excited would Grant be id he returned? I don't think he would be that excited because he told the management if he had taken the club at the start of the season he would have made an impact. The way Chelsea played under Grant last season could have (COULD HAVE) meant the premier league title this season! Instead trophies narccist Chelsea sacked Grant for Scolari. The Scolari move showed an international coach need a lot of time to get in gear. The second prospect is Jose Mourinho. The former Chelsea manager could return to the club. But how happy will he be at Chelsea. Mourino did not like the management at Stamford Bridge and to return to the SAME management could be difficult. Things in Italy sort of working out, not really. Inter Milan wanted European Glory thats why they sacked Roberto Mancini. Mourinho could could return to England but might consider managing Liverpool or hopefully not Manchester United. Another prospect is Roberto Mancini, but i don't think so because of his failure to reach the top four of Champions League Football. Mancini was originally linked to West Ham until Zola was put incharge. Chelsea is after the AC Milan manager, but that will prove difficult because the manager of that team really likes his squad so it will take a lot to do so. Other choices will come about. But if Chelesa wants an England Manager, they should consider Alan Curbishly. Now thats a far off choice but they should consider him! More Posts to come, but tell me what you think....

Glenn Beck more popular/funnier than Stephen Colbert????

The answer is NO. However it should be noted that Beck's program gets a viewership around two million while Colbert's audience is above one million. However to say Glenn Beck is more popular than Colbert is just wrong. The reason I think why Beck is more popular in ratings is because he has a name behind him in that FOX News. If Beck was so popular why didn't he garner up the same ratings on HLN. On HLN he barely cracked one million let alone 900,000. I think Glenn Becks' crazy, and i mean his crazy is just laughable. Because most of it does not make any sense. If one looks on Facebook Colbert is by far more popular than Beck. And if you've seen Colbert, he really is funny!

Quarter One ratings for cable news

The ratings for the top 10 Cable newscasts are out, FOX NEWS ranked 2nd in primetime viewership in cable land right behind NBC-Universal's USA network. Primetime viewership for CNN is 17 and MSNBC 24 Dayside Fox ranked 5th, CNN ranked 14 and MSNBC 28.

TOTAL VIEWERSHIP ----Primetime
FNC - 2,250,000
CNN - 1,126,000
MSN - 950,000

KEEP in mind both FOX and MSNBC had big ratings ups while CNN had somewhat of a slip.

The top 10 cable news shows in the first quarter of 2009: *notice the first 9 are from FNC and MSNBC rounds it out.

1. The O'Reilly Factor: 3,438,000
2. Hannity: 2,579,000
3. Glenn Beck: 2,271,000
4. Special Report with Bret Baier: 2,092,000
5. On the Record with Greta Van Susteren: 1,977,000
6. The FOX Report with Shepard Smith: 1,927,000
7. The O'Reilly Factor (repeat): 1,457,000
8. America's Newsroom: 1,445,000
9. Your World with Neil Cavuto: 1,428,000
10. Countdown with Keith Olbermann: 1,327,000
(source: Huffington Post)

I think if MSNBC just added another show to its line up it would solitify its stake as the second most watched news program on Cable behind FOX. The problem with MSNBC is that it's 10pm hour is a repeat of Countdown. Perhaps if it had a live show at 10pm it would do better. I think they should move the ED show to the 10pm hour. Why???? because the ED show prides itself as the show that sticks up for the working man. however the hour its on (6et/3pt), a lot of people are still working! so they don't have time to watch it! I don't know tell me what you think.

UPDATE: MSNBC show "The ED Show"

Today the ratings came out and the ED show dropped a little bit from yesterdays 606,000 to 589,000 viewers. Hopefully in the coming days the ratings can reach around 700,000+ in order to stay on the air. Like stated in the beginning the show is really good. Plus for some reason his show is not benefiting from a Hardball lead in. I wonder why? Perhaps MSNBC should consider changing up or a shake up. They need hosts who can appeal well. More commentators like Rachel Maddow! So far it's been reported that MSNBC is #1 in the 18-34 demo. I would like to see some of those numbers, seriously. the age group of 18-34 is an unreliable demographic, they toon in and out. More too come, what do you think?

MSNBC show "The ED Show"

On April 1st, 2009 ED Schultz was announced the new 6pm (3pm in California) host on MSNBC. MSNBC has been increasingly liberal, but all that matters are the ratings. Currently, in the first quarter of 2009 MSNBC beat CNN for second place. Now it's up to schutz's new show to keep the momentum going. The premier show did will gaining over 700,000 viewerships, enough for third place. However throughout the month of April the show steadily declined. The second episode was over 600,000 and the third over 500,000. The low point was when the show was getting beat once by Headline News. At this point the ED show was reaching the same ratings as the show it replaced, 1600 w/ David Shuster. Now the format of the ED show is great, i personally like it. He starts off like Bill O'Reilly, with an opiniated first half. Then gets into the issues and finishes off with a panel of three people. I especially like the "Psycho talk" segments. But the show will not last unless it starts gaining in the ratings. Recently there was a glimmer of hope. On Friday, April 24 the ED show beat CNN's situaton room for the first time, but barely (552,000 for MSNBC, 540,000 for CNN). However the bright side to all this, the show is picking up! The recent ratings have shown increases, this past tuesday the show garnered a little over 600,000 viewers, and continues to grow. Hopefully the show will grow, because it really is a great show!
